I'll be right over! :D
I have one left. It's all yours
How do you toast the bun? what's on it. It looks so good. It all starts with good meat. I would ask for your bun recipe but I will never make my own buns but I wish I would.
I just slap a lot of Olive Oil on it and toast it on the same Cast Iron Griddle the Hamburger is cooking on. The Buns are just a simple bread recipe. I make bread and the left over dough I make buns.
I either toast them under the broiler without anything on the buns, or butter and fry. If you make fried onions for the burgers, the leftover butter has a yummy onion flavor to add to the overall burger if you fry-toast the buns in the pan used for the onions. If I go for an oil, it is coconut.
I wish I could use coconut oil but it does weird things to me. Coconut oil actually will affect hormones in certain people. For me it makes me weepy & depressed so I won't use it.
That sucks! I have similar effects from soy, along with digestive stuff. Sunflower oil is good, too. For me, at least. I use olive oil only for making my pizza dough. It is hard to find it unadulterated with other oils (soy, canola, etc.), even some of the organic brands.
I use Olive Oil because it's good for the gallbladder. Cleans it out. Esp important for us older folks.
Well... after the husband saw this, we are having a childhood meal- cheese hamburger sammich. No lettuce, tomato or onion, just favorite condiment(s), with tator turds on the side. I do not know if the burger will melt my homemade bread the way it did the commercial stuff our mom's used when we got these for dinner. ;D
